More importantly, creating an environment where everyone, from every background, feels welcomed and valued is the right thing to do. We believe diversity drives innovation so we’re building a culture where difference is valued. We strive to be inclusive and celebrate multiple approaches and points of view.
We’ve also experienced a new sense of community with people wanting to help however they are able.Īs we emerge from the pandemic, my wish for us is that we be better, we are stronger and we remain together.īETTER: I am very proud to announce that Oregon HFMA will be formalizing our Diversity, Equity and Inclusion work. A little closer to home, we’ve been able to spend more time with those in our bubble. We have been a part of real-time innovations in telehealth and long overdue conversations regarding health inequities are occurring. Others have also experienced personal tragedies and losses.Īt the same time, we’ve witnessed and experienced extraordinary achievements, advancements, and goodness. Our daily lives were upended due to COVID19 with all of us experiencing new stressors at work and at home. The last two years have been exceptionally challenging.
